Michael Libow Witches House Designated Local Landmark in Beverly Hills

A famous Beverly Hills House, owned by realtor Michael Libow has been designated as a Local Landmark b the city of Beverly Hills.

 

Beverly Hills, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/22/2014 -- Michael Libow, a prominent real estate agent in Beverly Hills, is pleased to announce his house, The Witches House, is now an official local landmark in the city of Beverly Hills, Ca. The house received this prestigious designation in 2013, after a landmark assessment done by Ostashay & Associates Consulting. The house has been referred to by many names, such as the Witches House and the Spadena House. Originally built in the 1920's as a movie studio in Culver City, the Witches House was later moved to Beverly Hills, where current owner Michael Libow is now the caretaker of the Witch.

"The Witch's House which generates about 4,000 children within 4 hours on Halloween night to trick-or-treat in front of my home. There are police barricades erected to control traffic on that night each year." says Michael. Over the years Michael has not only maintained the house, but added various improvements as well. Michael also sponsors an annual "Green Halloween" at his house wherein healthy treats are given out to trick-or-treaters in lieu of sugar candy as well as the promotion of non-toxic costumes for the children.

The house is #8 on the Beverly Hills landmark register. The property meets at least two of the criteria needed to be considered for landmark status. The first one being that it embodies the distinctive characteristics of a style, type, period, or method of construction; the second one being that the house possesses high artistic or aesthetic value.
