MrPrata Brings Its Chain of Malaysian-Indian Food Diners to Kuta, Bali

Malaysians, Singaporeans Visiting Bali Can Now Feel At Home

Bali, Indonesia -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/15/2014 -- Opening its 'Malaysian Street Hawkers' inspired diners in the tourists epicentre of Bali at Kuta, MrPrata is a much loved chain of restaurants bringing the delicious Malaysian-Indian cuisine to Bali, with its first home in the island rooted in the ‘heart’ of Bali at Ubud.

The best of Malaysia’s food isn’t served at fancy restaurants but at stalls set up by the roadside, in hawker centres, or in street-side coffee shops. It is this Malaysian love for food, love to eat out together with friends and family, and the simple deliciousness of hawker style cooked food that MrPrata aspires to bring to Bali.

Malaysians, Singaporeans visiting Bali can now feast on Roti Canai, Martabak, Dosai & Nasi Lemak with a nice hot cup of Teh Tarik, made and served just like at home.

The place serves a compact menu, but everything delicious. "Our menu lets you taste that tantalizing fusion of flavours from Malay peninsula & India, a distinct culinary identity home to Malaysia. With ingredients, spices and techniques all the way from Malaysia, we’ll cook you a storm in authentic Malaysian street-hawker style!" says Ms.Natasha Kessler, the creative head behind the initiative.

Born and bred in Malaysia, resides in Singapore and richly invested with the Malaysian-Indian food style as a way of everyday life, indeed there cannot be a better person to bring this culinary delicacy to Bali. An avid foodie herself, Ms.Natasha says she conceived MrPrata to be a place to hang out with friends and family and relish the traditionally simple comfort food that Malaysian-Indian cuisine has to offer.

Foodies who have visited Singapore or KL and relish the lip smacking food from the little prata stalls serving the chicken curry sauce, the home-made chutney, the ball of pastry spun in the air, slapped into the hot oil and sizzled to a perfect lightness, can now can get their Malaysian-Indian fix right here in Bali.

The chain had opened its first outlet in Ubud last year, followed by the launch of a spanky sparkling new outlet in Kuta, and plans to add more outlets to its riposte in the coming year.
