PA Dog Attack Lawyer Contacted After Terrier Killed in Lansdale, PA

Perkasie, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/16/2014 -- On June 9, 2014, PA dog attack lawyer, Thomas J. Newell, provided a free consultation to a Lansdale, PA man. As described in the Lansdale Police Department Report #14-03-580, 2 unrestrained and unsupervised pit bulls were roaming the streets of Lansdale. The gentleman was walking his rat terrier on a leash when the 2 pit bulls attacked.

As noted in the Police Report, an eyewitness heard the attack and came running to help. The man hit the pit bulls with a large stick several times before they stopped attacking the terrier. The small dog was taken to a nearby vet hospital where it was “euthanized because of the extent of its injuries.” Lansdale Borough Police have charged the pit bull owner with violations of the PA Dog Law.

Attorney Newell provided the terrier’s owner with legal options and reviewed with him the restitution provision set forth in the “Harboring a Dangerous Dog” section of the Pennsylvania Dog Law. The Montco dog bite lawyer also spoke with a neighbor of the defendants and urged her to take pictures/video if she sees the pit bulls running loose again.
