And with that….the Miami Heat are gearing up to play the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night. The Heat is the defending champions, but Golden State is on a 4-game winning streak. On paper Miami looks better, but do not count out those Warriors. They are feisty and willing to take on the Heat. First place in the Pacific Division could be theirs if they make it 5-straight wins.

Looks like the Heat may need to put on their A-Game tonight considering they may be shorthanded without Udonis Haslem due to the flu. The warriors are also known for their run-and-gun game which could make for a very close game with Miami.

But can the Warriors really pull off a win over the Heat? The warriors are a young team. Every person on the roster with the exception of the injured Richard Jefferson is under 30. These guys will be playing again NBA champs. The only consistent player on the team is David Lee, who has a nice jump shot and goes for every rebound. Bottom-line: the Warriors will have to be playing their best and extra hard for Wednesday’s game.

The key matchup is no doubt Stephen Curry and Mario Chambers. The Warriors offense is Curry. That’s it. He has already established himself as one of the NBA’s top scoring point guards. Golden State needs Curry, but he is always guarded by the extraordinary Mario Chalmers. Both are of the same size and stature, but Chalmers is easily the better athlete. In order to get around Chalmers, Curry must drive hard to the basket.

A win for the Warriors would be great, but not sure it will happen. The Heat has too much talent! The game will probably remain close. Miami will make their shots more consistently and show that the Warriors are just not quite ready for the big boy arena yet..
