Los Angeles, CA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 01/06/2014 --Horror writers are loved because they suffer from a tamer dementia. Scratch 'em and they could be serial killers, but for the most part you can have dinner with these men and women and not end up the main course. Kirk Alex is just such a horror writer, and a decent enough guy that he's afraid of his own creation.

He's recently made the first book of the Lustmord series, Lustmord: Anatomy of a Serial Butcher Vol. 1 (of 6), available permanently for FREE on many sites, and at the price of $0.99 on Amazon.com.

These are some of the sites where Lustmord Vol 1 is available for free:

Smashwords: Lustmord Vol 1
Kobo: Lustmord Vol 1
Barnes & Noble: Lustmord Vol 1
Amazon UK: Lustmord Vol 1

Kirk Alex has been working on the Lustmord series since the late 1980s. In a recent interview, Alex said the Lustmord series is for, "Anyone who likes having the cr*p scared out of them." He had to put down writing the series for a number of years in the 90s due to the intensity of the main character Cecil O. Biggs. A horror icon has been created in Cecil O. Biggs, a self-proclaimed man-of-god preacher by day, perverted serial killer during his off hours.

Cecil O. Biggs is an ex-soldier who develops a talent for trading in stocks. After building up a half-million dollar portfolio he opens a church and recruits misfits and mental patients. His church becomes a den of drugs and sex where Biggs finds ready victims for his erotic killing pleasure.

All 6 books of the Lustmord series are available on the Amazon sites. They can be gotten to from Kirk Alex's Amazon Author Page:

About Kirk Alex
Kirk Alex grew up in Chicago. After serving in the Vietnam War he returned to his home in the Windy City and bought a typewriter on layaway. It took him longer to craft his writing style than it did to get the typewriter in his hands. He moved from Chicago to Los Angeles in the early 1970s where while writing he worked variously as a furniture mover, cab driver, movie extra, painter, factory worker, the guy dropping the phone book off at your door, porn house shipping clerk, and sold re-built mattresses to high-priced Sunset Strip escorts.
