Bellingham, MA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 01/22/2014 --The certification will allow Antron to manufacture wire harnesses to UL's “form N” standard. As John Kauker IV, vice president of Antron explained, this will enable the company to attract a wider customer base.

“This UL certification for our production of wire harnesses is crucial for expanding our business,” Kauker said. “Previously, we were limited to providing our high-quality wire harnesses only to those customers that did not require a UL certification for their finished products. Now, companies producing UL-certified products will benefit from Antron Engineering's manufacturing excellence as many other companies already have.”

Kauker pointed out that while the qualifications for UL certification are stringent, the process went smoothly because of Antron's rigorous quality control.

“Our clients use our products in demanding applications with very tight tolerances,” Kauker said. “Excellent quality control is at the heart of our company culture, and that made us a natural fit for this UL certification.”

Founded in 1894 as Underwriters Laboratories, UL is a safety certification and consulting company with headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois. It provides testing, auditing, training and certification to manufacturers, policymakers and regulators. Consumers regularly encounter the UL certification mark on household electrical appliances, and the firm's standards cover batteries, heating and cooling equipment, information technology equipment and more. UL maintains offices in 46 countries and serves clientele in 104.
