Oklahoma Coffee Roaster Offering Something Other Than Mainstream Coffee

Helena, OK -- (ReleaseWire) -- 01/31/2014 --When many people wake up in the morning, the first thing they do is reach for a cup of coffee. In fact, some claim that they cannot get their days started without it and that they need this extra burst of energy to be able to function. No matter what their reason is for drinking coffee, they need to pick out the type of coffee they want.

The debate is between local roasted coffee and mainstream brands like Folgers and Starbucks. At  7th Avenue Roastery  in Oklahoma, the team would like everyone to select locally roasted coffee, but they know that’s not what everyone prefers. So, which is best—local roasts or mainstream coffee?

This is not an easy question to answer, but one that is only answered individually on a personal level. Personal preference wins. However, people can observe the differences between the two. Locally roasted coffee may have a richer flavor, and it may come in more of a variety of assortments. Since the producers of this type of coffee do not have a major corporation to answer to, they can vary their selection of beans and roasts. As a result, they may be able to produce more flavors or have a little bit more fun with the coffee that they make. For a real coffee aficionado, sampling these different tastes really might be the way to go.

However, locally roasted coffees can have downsides. Some of the big coffee companies that have been making products for years have a great reputation in the industry. As a result, consumers don’t have to usually worry that they are going to go away any time soon. Consumers might fall in love with a locally roasted coffee only to find out that it has been discontinued in a short amount of time. This would mean that the consumer would have to move on to a new blend and maybe even spend a few mornings without drinking it.

On top of that, those mainstream coffee brands are often going to cost less because they aren’t specialty products. They are more widely produced, so the price tag on them does not have to be so steep. When people are consuming coffee on a daily basis, or maybe even once per day, they do not want to see prices that are so high that they cannot continue to afford them.

However, it is a give and take in some sense. 7th Avenue Roastery is able to produce quality, flavorful beans that cannot be purchased from Starbucks or Folgers; yet that extra quality and flavor will cost a bit more. For coffee enthusiasts, the few extra dollars is worth it.

If a consumer is trying to get away from mainstream coffee, then they may want to try buying local Oklahoma coffee  from 7th Avenue Roastery.
