Port Harcourt, Nigeria -- (ReleaseWire) -- 02/06/2014 --Prince Israel Maduabunachukwu lives in Port Harcourt, Rivers state of Nigeria. He lost his beloved wife of over nine years on the 24th of February 2013 due to complications related to pregnancy. He has written a book to keep her worthy memory evergreen in his heart.

Changing Hearts is the traumatic story of a young child diagnosed of life threatening heart disease and the riveting court case to determine if she lived or died.

It is the story of little Wendy; she lives with her mother Gina in a derelict Harlem apartment; her father Richard Jones had abandoned them and eloped with another woman. Wendy became terribly ill and all effort at treatment was unsuccessful. Advanced medical tests soon revealed she had life threatening medical condition described as cardiomyopathy; her heart was failing her. Wendy would need to undergo an organ transplant if she must live. She is  put in the UNOS list; a waiting list of patients in need of organ. For Wendy, however, getting a matching heart that fits in her pericardial cavity proved was proving a formidable task.

At this time, however Richard Jones would return to his family after his woman friend left him for a younger partner; he found his family in tartars. Remorseful, heavy with guilt and desperate to correct the past wrongs he offers to swap organs with his dying child.

Israel’s idea is to self-publish. The book stands a better chance at being published that way. However, self-publishing can be expensive, especially if one plans to churn out quality work that will please the readers. His publisher of choice is the Outskirts Press, a Denver based self publishing firm. Changing Hearts will cost approximately $6,800.

This campaign will receive all funds raised even if it does not reach its goal. Funding duration: February 05, 2014 - April 06, 2014 (11:59pm PT).
