Raleigh, NC -- (ReleaseWire) -- 02/12/2014 --Raleigh preschool and child care center, Primary Beginnings, is excited to announce that they are hosting a canned food drive throughout the month of February!

Primary Beginnings is a 5-Star rated child care center, offering infant and toddler care, preschool and after school programs. They are dedicated to providing a creative and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop.

February is National Canned Food Month, a month dedicated to the history, safety and benefits of canned goods. It also raises awareness on the state of hunger in America.

To celebrate National Canned Food Month, Primary Beginnings is hosting a month long canned food drive. They are requesting that parents bring in canned vegetables, fruit, soup, etc. to help fight hunger in the Raleigh area.

Parents and students can drop off their canned food items at either of the Primary Beginnings preschool locations. All donations will be dropped off at the local food bank on February 27th.
