Los Angeles, CA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 02/12/2014 --Free & Equal Elections Foundation is embarking on a University Bus Tour to wake up America! They are looking to raise $25,000 to put the UWS festival kickoff event on the map.

Free & Equal works to ensure free, open, and fair elections. Founded in 2008 by electoral reform activist Christina Tobin, Free & Equal has been at the forefront of working to enable the youth vote to become a powerful force in elections, local and national. It is the only National group that brings together the full spectrum of political opinion. It teaches candidates how to become effective in running for office, getting elected, and overcoming ballot box qualifying hurdles.  Its purpose is to elect candidates outside the two-party stranglehold.

Free & Equal intends to ignite a powerful, positive, and peaceful solutions-based movement at college campuses through the seeds they plant at the 9 stops in Fall 2014 after UCLA. Building relationships with universities across America will enable Free & Equal to host open Presidential, Congressional, Senate, and local debates in years to come.

The funding goal of $25,000 will go to offset venue costs (staff, staging, sound, venue, ticketing) so that the team can focus much of their efforts on the festival itself. As this movement grows, they are attracting sponsors from conscientious corporations. David Bronner, CEO of Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps, the #1 selling certified organic/non-GMO/FairTrade natural soap line, is a confirmed speaker.

This campaign will receive all funds raised even if it does not reach its goal. Funding duration: February 05, 2014 - February 15, 2014 (11:59pm PT).
