In Support of America's Veterans: Let's Work

www.GetMyVetaJob.com - Announcing the most aggressive job initiative ever launched in support of America's Veterans.

Virginia Beach, VA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 02/19/2014 --Get My Vet a Job is launching a needed campaign, "In Support of America's Veterans: Let's Work!" This campaign will aggressively call companies, organizations, business leaders, social media leaders on the Federal, State, and Local levels. Not for new programs, but for their support to once and for all address the employment, unemployment, under-employment and unprepared Men and Women of our Armed Forces both active and retired.

Michele Unangst the Founder & CEO of Get My Vet a Job "Fact and it is undeniable, that Veterans are struggling, their families are struggling. They struggle while the resources, solutions, and jobs are available. Why? Most Veterans and Active Military members are ill-equipped to be separated from the Military. It is time that changes and Get My Vet a Job is that Solution!"

According to the Department of Bureau of Labor & Statistics there are 750,000 unemployed Veterans with 1.5 million Veterans soon separating from the Military in the next 4 years. The issue of employment preparedness is critical to our country. In fact, digging deeper those figures are much worse. This does not account for Veterans who no longer receive unemployment benefits.

Solutions must go deeper than "Job Fairs." Unfortunately in this uber-competitive job market, it is beyond work available. It is teaching Veterans the tools they have at their disposal:

- Writing Resumes to market and advertise themselves.
- Utilizing Social Media for Endorsements, Networking, and Showcasing Job Skills.
- Video Cover Letters, creating the ultimate wow factor for a perspective employer.
- How to demilitarize a resume so the Veteran showcases their skills in a corporate perspective.
- Resume Blogs, in using the power of the internet, expand accomplishments and skills beyond the paper resume.
- Jobs, beyond manufacturing or classifying Veterans as to what they can do. Apple, AT & T, GE, Xerox, American Express are examples of companies that hire Veterans.

As a nation there is an awareness to the trials and tribulations of Veterans. However their transition and separation from the Military, having it done in a successful fashion is paramount not only to the success of the Veteran, but the economy as well. This campaign "In Support of America’s Veterans: Let's Work!" will layout the jobs and steps that Veterans and Military Members need to take to get the job they want. However, support is needed. Get My Vet a Job is calling on:

"The VA, Wounded Warriors, Senators, SBA, Military.com, Google, American Express, Military First, and the 1000's upon 1000's of others to join this initiative."

This initiative will be individual. From organization to organization, politician to politician, company to company, Get My Vet a Job will reach out to each and every one. A call to action in the solutions that Get My Vet a Job is offering. This initiative will be a viral effort, not just from the Military Members and Families, but all aspects of employment and commerce nationwide.

"President Obama stated in his State of the Union Address this is a year of action. Get My Vet a Job is heeding this call to action, and is asking all those organizations, companies, leaders, and people to do the same. In Support of America's Veterans Let's Work will be the leading force for employment opportunities for all those that have served" Stated Michele Unangst.
