Los Angeles, CA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 03/11/2014 --When three tormented soldiers are shot down in the midst of a war they seek refuge in an abandoned house only to find out they are not alone. Strange visions begin to appear, forcing them to face their inner demons. Each of them battling their own internal wars, whether from their past, their present or their fears of the future, they must face each other, themselves, and the evil hunting them in order to survive.

A passion project for the makers (Writer/Director, Rico Montanez, and Producers, Tree Franklyn and Karl Hertz), the film has been a long labor of love. Plagued with personal and production challenges every step of the way, it's a testament to the power of determination, passion and all-out-no-holds-barred commitment. For both Rico and Tree, individually and collectively, the past year during the making of the film has been a journey into darkness, fraught with challenges of extremes, as daunting as death, as ordinary as funding, and everything in between.

With their own funding, the team has already completed pre-production and filming of Recon. However, they have now reached the bottoms of their pockets and need funding for post-production, which includes color correction, sounds, special effects, and editing.
