Westcountry Media Acquires Another Local Client Bank in Somerset

Bridgwater, UK -- (ReleaseWire) -- 03/18/2014 --Web design and digital marketing agency Westcountry Media (UK) Ltd has announced the acquisition of a second local web design firm, making the brand one of the largest agencies in the South West area.

The acquisition of the firm provides Westcountry Media with an additional 300+ clients, most of whom are located within the Somerset area. The name of the acquired web design firm is currently being withheld while the firm's clients are notified of the change of ownership.

The latest acquisition follows Westcountry Media's acquisition of rival Wellington-based firm Issy Website Design at the end of 2013, which also helped to make the Bridgwater-based company considerably larger than it started the year.

Westcountry Media (UK) Ltd was founded in Somerset in April 2010, with the aim of providing local businesses with digital marketing advice that would help them to thrive. Campaigns are created on a bespoke basis for every single client, and are designed with measurable objectives in mind to help Westcountry Media clients to see a real return on investment. The services offered by the firm include web design and development, social media setup and management, email marketing, online advertising campaigns and more, with an illustrious and varied client base that includes businesses and organisations from a wide range of sectors from individual local trades people to national tourist attractions and charities.

Says Westcountry Media (UK) Ltd Managing Director, James Hibbert, "We are excited to announce our second acquisition in recent months, and we plan on consolidating our resources and services over the next six months before looking at the potential for other acquisition opportunities towards the end of the year. These recent acquisitions, along with the fact that we've recorded our highest ever level of business transactions in the last three months, suggest that we have found a real niche in providing affordable web design and marketing services to the local small business sector. Spirits amongst the small business community appear to be buoyant at present. In the last six months we have noticed that more and more small businesses are shifting the focus of their marketing online, showing a real shift in how local marketing operates. We are excited about our plans for 2014, and look forward to a successful year ahead for both us and our clients."
