True Success by Choice: New Book Details One Man's Journey to Fulfill Dr. Martin Luther King's Dream of a United America

Written by Dr. Laurence P. Huntley, ‘True Success By Choice Not By Chance, Without Excuses: Don’t Forget God’ is the stunning story of Ernie Tucker – a man who proves that birthplace, race, color or creed have no bearing on a person’s path to success and salvation.

Chicago, IL -- (ReleaseWire) -- 04/10/2014 --In 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. famously said: “I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.'”

Throughout his life, Ernie Tucker has been driven to live by those words and succeed as a human being. Applying his own unwavering faith in God and his fierce determination, Tucker rose through life to become a prosperous man. Wishing to share Tucker’s story, Dr. Laurence P. Huntley has written an examination of his journey in the new book, ‘True Success By Choice Not By Chance, Without Excuses: Don’t Forget God’.

“Ernie lives a charmed life – but it wasn’t by chance,” says Dr. Huntley. “He put his faith in God and he chose to take a step of faith with love in his heart. He chose to make the necessary sacrifices to see his dreams become reality. Anyone – regardless of their struggles or hardships – can become successful. It’s a matter of embracing the principles that Ernie has lived by.”

Detailing Tucker’s voyage through life and filled to the brim with the iron will, wit and resolve that has become Tucker’s hallmark, the book lays out a clear ‘road map to success’, for anyone who believes in a better future for themselves and their children.

Synopsis:
"ROAD MAP TO SUCCESS

True Success By Choice Not By Chance gives a road map which clearly shows the potential for any one to succeed in life whether they came from Tupelo, Mississippi or was born on Wall Street.

This book is about Ernie Tucker who applied the laws of success and has lived a charmed life by following the principles of having faith, repetition, imagination and above all persistence. He says “success has no room for excuses – it is all up to you”. It is a choice one makes not a chance one takes, because chances is gambling and depends on the roll of the dice. It shows you that if you have a clearly defined objective and are willing to make the necessary sacrifices, in the long run your dream will become your reality.

The book entails what he had faced, handled and triumphed over to become the success that he is. It is his dream to leave a legacy to the coming generations of whomsoever wishes to succeed be it family, friend or stranger. Embedded in the pages are elements of the will, wit and determination it took to get him there. It says that success is accessible but it is all up to you.

To embrace the principles that took him there, you must follow his proven method for success. It shows you that success is a constant pursuit not an overnight affair. It is in fact for Ernie a true fulfillment of Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream that black men and white men could work together in unity. Since success is not a respecter of persons.

When Ernie’s principles of faith are enacted, regardless of your color, creed, race or national origin, success will be attained when you step out with faith in God and have a vision of your goals and love in your heart you will succeed.

Many people reading the book will be startled by Ernie Tucker’s humility, and by the matter-of-fact and drama-free way that Dr. Huntley tells his story. If you ask the author, that’s just the kind of man Tucker is."

“You would never know that this man was an ordinary cotton-picker from Mississippi who dared to believe and succeeded in seeing his children graduate from distinguished universities in America,” says Dr. Huntley. “In his humility, you would never guess his personal achievements. He has stayed grounded. He’s not ‘Black and Proud’ – instead, he chooses to be grateful to God for his blessings.”

Indeed, Dr. Huntley points out that it is often the ordinary people who do the most extraordinary things with their lives, and yet receive little credit.

“Most people know about the historical achievements of African Americans like Madame C.J Walker and Washington Carver, Booker T. Washington, and George Johnson of the "Ebony Magazine" and they constantly repeat what was done in the past every February. But they have never created a road map to the future. Don't tell us about what was done - just show us what to do so that we can move forward. I guess it might be difficult for some to digest the fact that in the mid sixties that there were black and white families travelling together, owning condos in gated communities in Florida, sharing farms in Wisconsin and going on cruises together. It might not be fashionable but it is a fact.”

Continuing: “The story shows that the power of Godly principles are liberating and everlasting. Let the light shine out of the darkness by following the tenets of true friendship.”
