DJGrandpa's Crib Podcast Bridges the Gap Between Kickstarter Entrepreneurs and the Public

Alexandria, VA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 07/02/2014 --Crowdfunding is becoming more and more familiar to the general public thanks to the articles in major media outlets. Unfortunately, they pay attention mostly to high profile creators who have funds to hire professional PR companies. Thousands of others struggle to reach potential backers.

DJ Grandpa’s Crib, The Crowdfunding Podcast bridges the gap by offering the stage to ordinary people who share with the public their enthusiasm and information about the Kickstarter projects. The podcast is live every Monday at 9-30 EST and available afterwards at https://soundcloud.com/djgrandpascrib.

This week’s Podcast features four creators of live Kickstarter projects:

-Amiculus: A Secret History Volume I created by Travis Horseman, is an original, epic three-part graphic novel series telling a lost history of the Fall of Rome. It is a 60-page long color comic full of conspiracies and intimate conflicts, brutal betrayals and loyal sacrifices. Travis made the first draft more than 10 years ago while being a college student. The project raised 50% of the funding goal in just 10 days and already has attracted more than 130 backers. Those who are considering the donation, can get a taste of the new book on Travis’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLtpo-tpQpspBZzHE8noKlw.

-The Complete Guide to Coil Accelerators RELAUNCH by Max Leograndis and his friends is a dream project for electronics enthusiasts. The President Obama recently hosted The White House Makers Faire to feature “Makers, innovators, and entrepreneurs of all ages who are using cutting-edge tools to bring their ideas to life.” Max, a physics student in the College of Creative Studies at University of California Santa Barbara, is a great representative of the movement. The goal of the project is to teach “an incredible amount about electricity and magnetism, circuits and electronics, and engineering, but in a very fun and exciting way”. The backers can get a PDF copy for only $5 or the book for $15.

-REVERSUS - A new rummy-inspired game with a twist! by Uptick Games from New Hampshire is a quick, highly-interactive card game for ages 8 and up. Two or four players must race against each other to be the first to score 100 points. The backers will receive the game for $20 or a digital copy for just $5. The creators have raised more than $3,000 from their fans and have 10 more days to reach their goal.

-Bitcoin: The End of Money As We Know It is a documentary created by Torsten Hoffmann from Australia. His international team has already self-funded a large portion of the production. By travelling from Australia to the US/Canada to visit the Bitcoin conferences in Miami and Toronto and getting footage from Wall Street and New York's Bloomberg headquarters, they have many of the digital currency thought leaders 'in the can'. Now by donating a little over $2,000, someone can become and Executive Producer of the film (on screen and IMDB credit). Pledges are also accepted in Bitcoins.

DJ Granpa’s Crib has hosted hundreds of guests. Eighty five percent of them have reached their goals on Kickstarter.
