Columbia, SC -- (ReleaseWire) -- 07/24/2014 --KAMRA (Kirker African Medical Relief Association) is currently seeking to provide medical assistance to approximately 50,000 refugees, including thousands of children who have fled Northern Nigeria to take shelter in Southeastern Niger. After abducting nearly 300 girls from their boarding school dormitory 100 days ago, this terrorist group still continues to kill hundreds of innocent people, torching villages, forcing residents to leave places they call home, driving children out of school, thus jeopardizing their chance of getting some education.

The current campaign’s goal is raise funds and provide immediate assistance to these victims who are continuously crossing over the North-eastern Nigerian border into Eastern Niger, where KAMRA supports the Kirker hospital, and the Barbara Kirker Second Chance School.

Funds raised through this campaign will be used to sponsor, and ship two containers of medicines, medical supplies and equipment, as well as to expand the size of the Barbara Kirker Second Chance School to accommodate some of the refugees’ children. KAMRA is seeking $100,000 to cover all these expenses. After the campaign, each donor will receive a hand written thank you letter and a ‘Shipment of Hope’ sticker.

Every week, around 850 refugees are migrating into Niger from Nigeria. The situation is very serious and getting worse by the day. KAMRA is urging all to unite and send them the ‘Shipment of Hope.’
