On September 27th, 2014, the World Pillow Fighting Championships will be held at Sonoma Mountain Village in Rohnert Park, CA from 9am-5pm.

Rohnert Park, CA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 07/25/2014 --The World Pillow Fighting Championships is the only pillow fighting competition where daring challengers balance on a 30 foot, horizontal pole and swing pillows until one competitor falls to the mud pit below. This incredible Pillow Fighting Championship offers fun and thrills for the whole family.

Early bird tickets are available starting at just $12.50 for the first 500 attendees. After that, the price will be raised to $15 online or $20 at the door. For those looking to compete in the World Pillow Fighting Championships, there will be a $50 competitor fee.

Pillow Fight Winners will receive trophies on the stage of the event. Both the Men’s and Women’s U.S. Champion will receive a $300 cash prize and both the Men’s and Women’s World Champion will receive an incredible $500 cash prize.

There will also be several celebrity pillow fighting matches at this year’s World Pillow Fighting Championships. One of them includes a celebrity pillow fight between the notorious, former WWE Superstar Tyler Reks and bodybuilder Brian Cage. Local names as well as international stars will be participating in this exciting portion of the event.

In addition, this year the World Pillow Fighting Championships in Sonoma County will have a special event for the Greek Society. The “Battle of the Greeks” will include one representative from each fraternity and sorority house at Sonoma State University. The fraternities and sororities will then square off for an epic battle. Anyone planning on completing the Battle of the Greeks will not be required to pay any competitor fees.

Starting at 11:00am, there will be live music filling the air. Musical Guests include: Heroes Turn Human, Pacific Haze, and Shannon Rider Band. This year, there will be an entire area dedicated to kids activities. Some of these activities include:
