BBQ Expert Launches Authentic North Carolina Pulled Pork Delivery for Last-Minute Holiday Gifts

Nationally renowned barbecue and grill expert Elizabeth Karmel launches CarolinaCueToGo.com, an authentic North Carolina pulled-pork online barbecue shack in time for last-minute holiday gifts for food lovers and barbecue enthusiasts.

New York, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/04/2014 -- Carolina Cue To-Go launched November 1, 2014, in time for orders for holiday gift giving. The authentic North Carolina pulled pork barbecue is available for shipping to all 50 states for holiday entertaining or as a gourmet holiday gift. Gift certificates are also available for the recipient to enjoy after the holidays.

North Carolina native Elizabeth Karmel, a well-known barbecue and grill expert, chef, and media personality, is launching the company along with her childhood friend David Lineweaver. The two went back to their North Carolina roots to offer the first national delivery service for authentic hickory-smoked North Carolina whole-hog pulled pork paired with Elizabeth's signature Carolina BBQ sauce.

"North Carolina barbecue is hard to get outside of the state, and it's largely underserved nationally, though there are many people who favor it over other regional varieties of barbecue. Carolina Cue takes the best barbecue traditions from the eastern and western parts of the state and combines them to offer unparalleled quality using eastern-style whole-hog barbecue seasoned with my signature western-style vinegar sauce," says Elizabeth Karmel, Executive Chef and Partner of Carolina Cue To-Go (http://carolinacuetogo.com).

Carolina Cue To-Go is unique from traditional North Carolina pulled pork in several ways:

Rather than using just the butts, shoulders, and hams of traditional North Carolina barbecue, Carolina 'Cue uses hogs from a small family farm and adds in the belly, tenderloin, and ribs to create whole-hog barbecue with better texture and amped-up flavors.

The finest ingredients are used in the vinegar-based sauce including real apple cider vinegar, white and dark-brown sugars for a deep molasses flavor, and the complexity of three pepper varieties—white, black and red pepper flakes.

Curated artisanal southern products include Carolina white grits, which come from a family-owned water-powered gristmill that has been in service for nearly 300 years.

"My Carolina pulled pork makes a great gift for expats who miss their home-state barbecue, as well as foodies, and people who entertain for the holidays, but don't want the hassle of cooking. One bite of Carolina Cue will transport you to an iconic roadside barbecue shack. Our authentic small-batch barbecue kits also provide gift ideas for men and others on your holiday list who are hard to buy for," added Karmel.

Carolina Cue To-Go offers several sizes of barbecue kits including: The Piglet makes 8 sandwiches; The Super Sow makes 16 sandwiches; and The Boss Hog kit makes 24 sandwiches. Each kit comes with North Carolina hickory-smoked whole-hog barbecue, chopped cabbage for Carolina slaw, buns, and bottles of Karmel's signature Carolina Cue Vinegar Sauce. The website also offers Carolina Cue Sauce by the bottle, and Carolina white grits and "Sweeties" hush-puppy mix for the perfect compliment to pulled pork sandwiches.

The kits range in price from $49 for The Piglet to $129 for The Boss Hog. All kits are shipped packed with dry ice for one or two-day delivery. To ensure delivery of all holiday orders, Carolina Cue To-Go will accept holiday orders until December 22. A free gift will be available using a special holiday promo code (cctggl) for orders made through December 30.
