Queen's Flushing Meadows Park's Ghost Doctors vs the NY Mets

It's opening season for baseball in Queen's Flushing Meadows Park's Citi Field and that means, Mets baseball, Cracker Jacks and...ghosts according to New York's Ghost Doctors.

New York, NY -- (ReleaseWire) -- 04/02/2014 -- When two of New York's noted paranormal investigators say they are feeling a little spring fever for baseball it could only mean one thing -- hunting for spirits around Queen's Flushing Meadows Park, the home of the NY Mets. Pete and Stew Kandel (known as Dr. Pete and Dr. Stew) aka New York's own “Ghost Doctors' have been investigating the areas around Citi Field Stadium and the adjacent parking lots -- which was once home to the old Shea Stadium -- looking for signs of baseball loving spirits.

“Shea Stadium opened back in 1964 and was torn down in 2009 to make room for Citi Field, says Dr. Stew. “During this time Shea was an integral part of our history and that's the reason we became interested in investigating this area.”

The Ghost Doctors have been searching this “Field of Dreams” and may have found some evidence of paranormal activity. Since the old Shea Stadium was not only the home of the Miracle 69 NY Mets but for a short time The Yankees, Giants and Jets, also called this area of Queens their NYC home. And this may be one of the reasons for some ghostly spirits still residing in this area according to the Ghost Doctors.

“Back in 1975 all of New York's baseball and football teams played out of Shea, so historically for one season this area was New York's epicenter of sports,” says Dr. Pete.

But this area wasn't just known for sports it was probably one of the world's most renowned areas for rock music. “It hosted the British invasion of the Beatles back in 64, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel and a whole bunch of rock legends who all played here,” says Dr. Stew.

The Ghost Doctors can be seen investigating Flushing Meadows Park accompanied by amateur ghost hunters in training on actual investigations. With equipment in hand, like something out of a paranormal Hollywood blockbuster, they search out this historic area for signs of baseball spirits who could still be heard rooting their team on.
