Beiersdorf Kft led sales of sun care in 2013 with the Nivea Sun brand accounting for 31% of total value sales. Nivea Sun brand has long traditions in Hungary; people trust in the brand and Beiersdorf maintains stable demand with frequent innovations and advertising. L'Oreal Magyarorszag Kft ranked second with a 19% value share, primarily due to the success of its Garnier Ambre Solaire brand, however its premium brands, namely Vichy Capital Soleil and Lancome Soleil, are also available. Avon Cosmetics was third in ranking with an 8% value share, as its Avon Sun brand was the third best-selling brand within sun care in 2013.
