William Peace University Names Dawn Dillon Assistant Dean for Campus Life

Four-Year Baccalaureate University Promotes Dillon With More Than 22 Years Of Student Service In Higher Education

 

Raleigh, NC -- (SBWIRE) --12/02/2011 -- William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced that Dawn Dillon has been promoted to the university’s assistant dean for campus life, where she will be responsible for overseeing all student organizations and will manage university departments providing developmental opportunities and support services for students. Dillon will monitor and implement strategic long-term plans for student life, ensuring that students are making the appropriate progress toward degree completion and effectively working toward student and alumni initiatives. With more than 22 years of higher education experience, Dillon began her career with William Peace University in 1999 serving as the director of residence life.

- Dillon earned an associates degree from Peace College, a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from NC State University in Raleigh, and a master’s degree in higher education and student affairs from the University of South Carolina in Columbia.

- Publicly recognized for her achievements in higher education, Dillon received the 2006 Janice Edwards Service to Students award and was inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society in 2009.
