Four-Year Baccalaureate University Will Serve As The First And Last Stop During The Annual Community Candlelight Tour
Raleigh, NC -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/06/2011 -- William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced that the university will participate in the 40th Annual Historic Oakwood Candlelight Tour, an opportunity to tour Victorian style homes throughout the Historic Oakwood community, on Saturday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 11 from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. A community located in the middle of downtown Raleigh, the Historic Oakwood neighborhood focuses on preserving community homes dating back to the 1800s. William Peace University will serve as the first and last stop on the tour and will provide holiday caroling throughout the day courtesy of the university’s Peace Singers.

About William Peace University
William Peace University is located in the heart of Raleigh, North Carolina. It was founded in 1857 as Peace Institute, offering education for boys and girls in primary grades and to women from high school to college. Peace, an all women’s college, became a four-year baccalaureate college and graduated its first bachelor’s students in August of 1996.
