CGR on List of Sponsors for 2012 Center City Vision Awards

Charlotte, NC -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/30/2012 -- CGR Creative Web Design was in attendance last night for an amazing show and opportunity to celebrate our incredible cutting edge city of Charlotte. CGR Creative was taking part in the Charlotte Center City Vision Awards to show our support for progress in Charlotte and to represent our hand in that future.

CGR Creative ‘s CCO Jason Ramsey was one of 30 Table sponsors for the event and proud to work with Center City Partner’s in their amazing new projects like the 7th Street Public Market.

The true spirit of the event was to honor the businesses and forward thinkers that see great things for Charlotte and will not allow anything to cloud to vision. The evening included speakers from Well Fargo, Bank of America, the former Mayor of Charlotte Harvey Gantt and the current Charlotte mayor and our leader into this vision Mayor Anthony Foxx.

Duke Energy Chief Executive Jim Rogers will receive the Charlotte Center City Vision Award for 2012 in a ceremony April 19 at the Charlotte Convention Center.

Center City Partners gives the annual award to recognize individuals, businesses and organizations that “have made the center city a more vibrant urban core.”

The group says Rogers has done much to transform Charlotte. It cites his work helping to bring the 2012 Democratic National Convention to Charlotte, leadership of an $82 million fundraising campaign for arts and education and the Envision: Charlotte initiative to cut power use and increase sustainability in Charlotte’s uptown office buildings.

CGR Creative thanks Center City for a great evening and for collectively working for a better Charlotte that will lead the East Coast into the future of forward thinking cities.

In attendance with CGR was some of exciting and forward thinking partners like CBI of Charlotte and the Community Building Initiative’s Annetta Foard.
