St. Peters, MO -- (ReleaseWire) -- 05/08/2012 -- Nissan revealed the redesigned Altima at the 2012 New York International Auto Show earlier this month, and Cars.com believes the new version will get a big boost at dealerships by fall. While at the auto show, Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn said he expects the new Altima to outsell its predecessor enough to “take a shot at being No. 1 in the segment.”
The Toyota Camry has held the title of “best-selling car in the country” since 2001. However, The Nissan Altima is very close behind as it only fell short of the Camry buy fewer than 10,000 sales through March. Both, Cars.com and Carlos Ghosn think the redesigned Altima could push Nissan over the top.
Cars.com continued to say that they “expect the new Altima to see a 39% increase in sales by year's end, compared with the previous year.” For Nissan, that kind of growth for a redesigned car would be 24% better than the market average.
The redesigned 2013 Nissan Altima has a base four-cylinder, automatic transmission, excellent cabin quality and comfortable seats, and is even expected to get 38 miles per gallon on the highway.
