Nominations are invited from colleges in india under the following categories: Engineering, Medical, Management / Business School, Polytechnic, Arts and Science, Education, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Siddha, Agriculture and Law Colleges. To be nominated the college should fill nomination form authorizing CampusExplorer to display the college name in the public voting system.

Selection of the College of the Year 2012 in each category is purely based on the number of votes each college receives online through the voting application. The college that receives most number of votes in each category is declared the “College of the year in that Category”.

The college that receives most number of votes overall receives the title “College of the Year 2012”.

CampusExplorer.in will be promoting the poll in social media. During the voting period, nominated colleges are supported with media kits through which they can invite votes. Nominated colleges are free to do any kind of promotions to gain votes.

The integrity of votes is maintained by the following checks: IP Locking, Cookie Check and Email Confirmation.
