Houston, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/18/2012 -- On April 21-22, 2012, the 111 dedicated riders from Team Gardere made the fundraising pilgrimage from Houston to Austin as part of the annual BP MS 150, pedaling their bicycles 183 miles to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. This two-day fundraising ride is the largest event of its kind in North America.

Team Gardere closed out its fundraising efforts with an impressive total of $168,346, exceeding its 2012 goal by nearly $20,000 and surpassing its 2011 total by $40,000. Comprised of Gardere Wynne Sewell attorneys, staff, family members, clients, and friends, Team Gardere presents a unique opportunity to focus on team building and Firm morale during the BP MS 150.

Gardere’s participation in the BP MS 150 began about 12 years ago as a show of support when Firm attorney John Pearson was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. One of the team’s most dedicated members, Mr. Pearson has ridden with the team each year.
