Keighley, Yorkshire -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/07/2009 -- Airedale Springs Ltd (www.airedalespringsltd.co.uk) was incorporated on the 6th June 1945. 25 years later three original employees became the founder members of the 25 year club. However it was not until a further 4 employees reached 25 years service in 1973 was it decided to have a special dinner to commemorate the occasion.

Over the years a total of 37 employees have achieved this milestone.

Currently Airedale Springs Ltd has 45 employees, 16 of whom are members of the club.

The event is marked by a dinner for all the surviving members with the new member as the guest of honour. As a memento of the occasion each new member is awarded with a gift of £250 to do with what they will, only one member used it to buy a clock! They also get to choose the venue for the dinner, as long as it's not too far away.

We are pleased to announce that after a gap of 5 years since the last addition two more employees join this exclusive club this year.

Tracy Metcalfe (Customer Services) who works in the Customer Services team actually joined the company 26 years ago as an YTS trainee. She must have liked it or we liked her as on finishing her training she became a full time member of staff on the 16th July 1984. Tracy is a key member of the team and has a wealth of knowledge gained from years of experience of dealing with customers requirements.

Sean Parkinson (Commercial Director) joined the Company on the 3rd September 1984 after studying at the local technical collage and has worked in numerous departments before becoming our Commercial Director and Company Secretary.

It is not untypical that joint events are held and this time is no exception. To celebrate their achievement a dinner will be held on the evening of the 4th September 2009 to mark this special event.

We would like to congratulate Tracy and Sean in their achievement of 25 years service and welcome them to a very exclusive club.

We only have to wait another year when a further addition is made. In fact by the time the Company celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2015 there will have been 51 members of the 25 year club.

For a small family business to be able to celebrate this kind of event, so many times, is a testament to the people we employ.

Their commitment, knowledge and professionalism over the years are key to the service we give to our many customers and without these dedicated employees Airedale Springs would simply not exist.
