Travco Group Enjoys Major Presence at the FITUR 2010

 

Cairo, Egypt -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/03/2010 -- Madrid hosted the 30th edition of the FITUR that took place from 19th to the 24th of January 2010, bringing together 11,000 exhibitors from 170 countries among hotel keepers, travel agencies, tour operators, tourism developments experts and decision makers in the tourism sector.

FITUR, the international trade fair, invites industry partners to meet and discuss the market dynamics that affect the industry, optimize their business in order to improve its margins, share latest developments and expansion plans, discuss renovations and developments, in addition to access different prospective from around the globe on how to enhance the industry.

As the annual event attracts the international tourism industry’s key players, Travco Group has flown to the Spanish capital to showcase its full value chain of services. The 5- day event symbolized a prosperous opportunity for Jaz Hotels, Resorts & Cruises to strengthen business ties with its industry partners and attract more tourists to its upscale properties. Its 5- star vessel Jaz Omar El Khayam and Iberotel Aswan particularly dazzled the visitors.

Despite the slowdown that the Spanish industry suffered from as a result of the recession, it is now witnessing a significant improvement that includes plans to expand their business with Egypt, and operate more charter flights to Egyptian destinations such as the Red Sea & the Mediterranean.

Jaz Hotels, Resorts, & Cruises was represented by Ms. Nelly Fahmy, sales director of Travcotels, Mr. Mohamed El Bohy, sales director of Luxor & Aswan hotels, and Mr. Moataz Sedky, deputy general manager of Travco Travel.

Travco Dubai’s customary participation with the Dubai Department of Tourism of Commerce Marketing (DTCM) took place once again this year, and was represented by Ms Victoria Aalabcar, the company’s official Representative based in Spain, and Mr. Waleed Sotouhi, Business Development Associate. Commenting on the event and its success Sotouhi stated “with all the initiatives and the other activities organized, FITUR is once again shown its commitment to tourism as a marketing and promotional platform and a meeting point for the tourism industry which we availed best advantage this year as well to showcase our expertise to this most potential market in our promotional agenda for 2010.

The fair enjoyed the honorable presence of the Egyptian Minister of Tourim, Mr. Zuhair Garranah, who presented the Egyptian Ministry’s new program for the charter flight support to Egypt. The program will eventually encourage most of the flight companies to minimize their risk and increase their plans to send more passengers to Egypt.
