Barking, England-- (SBWIRE) -- 07/24/2010 -- Transatel has chosen Traffix Diameter Gateway as a major component in facilitating connectivity to its MVNE platform for new MVNOs. The Traffix Diameter Gateway makes connectivity between the operator's core network and Transatel's charging system easy. In addition, the Traffix Diameter Gateway makes it easy to deploy external charging systems, allowing MVNOs to run prepaid billing in real time without affecting the host MNO.
Transatel, founded in August 2000, is the leading pan-European MVNO enabler. Transatel Deputy CEO Bertrand Salomon called the Traffix Diameter Gateway a "robust, carrier grade system."
The Traffix Diameter Gateway meets Transatel's highest demands – that the system be 1) flexible and 2) cost-effective, Salomon commented, adding that within two days of installing the Traffix Diameter Gateway, Transatel's sytem was up and fully operational.
Traffix Systems CEO Ben Volkow called Transatel one of the "key players in the telecom ecosystem" that was helping move the industry ahead and allowing a complete telecom solution for MVNOs.
