Libertyville, IL -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/15/2014 -- Jan O'Malley is the founder, director and owner of Libertyville Massage Therapy Clinic. The clinic staffs 15 Illinois State Licensed Massage Therapists who are members of the American Massage Therapy Association and Nationally Certified in Massage and Bodywork. The clinic's 29th Anniversary was celebrated with an open house party for their clients, friends, families, and the community.

Jan commented, "I was thrilled to see so many clients and friends turn out for our celebration. We are so grateful to them and the community for giving us the opportunity to provide our massage therapy services for 29 years."

Jan's daughter and the clinic's office manager, Jillian O'Malley, said, "We have a wonderful group of licensed massage therapists, and our clients are great people. LMTC is such a nice place to work. Libertyville Massage Therapy Clinic has been proudly serving Lake County and beyond since 1985. We are the longest established massage therapy clinic in Lake County. Over 29 years in business and over 118,000 massage therapy sessions have been given."

Jillian went on to explain, "Our tranquil, calming setting combined with our dedicated, experienced and professional staff ensures you will receive the highest quality of massage therapy, bodywork, and acupuncture available. We also offer Swedish, Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Sports, Pregnancy, Hot Stone, Four Hands Massage, Reiki, Reflexology, Neuromuscular Therapy and more."

"Located in the Newberry Wellness Center, our goal is to provide each client with the highest quality of massage therapy," continued Jillian, "All of our therapists are state licensed graduates of professional schools of massage and bring with them a wealth of experience and the highest level of training in the industry. Before each massage, our clients receive an individual consultation to determine what their expectations are for today's massage. We customize your massage each visit, and a one hour massage is a full 60 minutes of hands on therapy."

The clinic also specializes in therapeutic massage for stress related problems and general wellness. Many area doctors refer their patients to Libertyville Massage Therapy Clinic for help with these problems. Clients do not have to be referred by a doctor; anyone can make an appointment simply for relaxation or sports massage.

About Libertyville Massage Therapy Clinic
As a pioneer in the field of massage therapy, Jan O'Malley opened the first massage therapy clinic in Lake County, Illinois. After Jan graduated, from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy, in the top of her class, in 1983, she set up her private practice of massage therapy in her home in Lake Villa.

Soon, Jan was booked with massage therapy appointments five weeks in advance. The public's curiosity was piqued by this new therapy. Jan was soon featured in numerous newspaper articles, including at the time, The Waukegan News Sun, The Daily Herald, The Pioneer Press, The Lake Villa Journal, Women in Business, Libertyville News, The Sun Health and Fitness, The Market Journal, and Lakeland Newspapers.

She was a frequent guest of Fritz Sorenson, a public affairs radio-TV talk show host on U.S. Cable TV in Waukegan, to explain and demonstrate professional massage therapy, sports and infant massage, to name a few. Through television, Jan was then able to educate and bring awareness to the public about the massage therapy profession and the health benefits that come with this therapy.

In 1985, Jan moved her practice to Libertyville and opened the clinic at 128 Newberry Avenue, hiring two massage therapists to her staff. As awareness of massage therapy and its benefits grew, so did Jan's staff and business. By the 1990's, the staff of massage therapists numbered 18.

Jan's goal was, and still is, to provide each client with the highest quality state-of-the-art massage therapy. All of the therapists bring with them a wealth of experience and the highest level of training in the industry. Many of the therapists have worked at the clinic from 9 to 27 years.

Jan was able to purchase the building on Newberry Avenue and named it Newberry Wellness Center. The building is home to LMTC as well as several PhD clinical psychologists and counselors who offer private practice counseling for families and individuals. Local prestigious colleges and corporations are valued repeat customers of Jan's clinic and staff. The clinic clientele are from all walks of life. Through the years, Jan has introduced thousands of people to massage therapy and its benefits.
