CanDonate Hair Program Launches Indiegogo Campaign to Help Cancer Patients with Their New "A Part of Me" Program

CanDonate Hair Program is looking to raise $5,000 via Indiegogo to support their new program “A Part of Me.” This program will allow donors to donate a minimum of 8 inches of hair and raise a minimum of $50 to help cancer patients.

Montreal, QC -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/27/2015 -- The CanDonate Hair Program is dedicated to offering natural-hair wigs free of cost to Quebec based children under the age of 16 that have been diagnosed with cancer. Since the launch of this program in 2005, it has been responsible for changing the lives of countless children. Their primary sponsor RL Moda Wigs helps CanDonate receive eight inches or more of hair donations. This is later turned into handmade wigs for young cancer patients. The objective of this hair donation program is to reduce the financial burden on parents while providing children with free natural wigs.

CanDonate Hair Program has recently announced the launch of their new support program "A Part of Me" to benefit the local community by offering more wigs. The title of this program reflects its true spirit because by donating their hair, the donors can truly give a part of themselves to someone in need.

Each person deciding to be a part of the "A Part of Me" program will have an emotional story to share. The "A Part of Me" event will be held to share the emotional story of ten women that will go through their experiences with cancer. They will also discuss the different side effects of cancer that are often ignored such as low self-esteem, altered body image, depression, and social anxiety, etc.

The funding budget for this project is $5,000, and this campaign will end on February 06, 2015.
