Art & Anchor is an artist collective with the goal of sailing around the world and promoting and documenting creative ways to live clean and healthy. Now, Art & Anchor has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for this worthy cause.
Tempe, AZ -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/11/2015 -- Art & Anchor, located on the web at https://artanchor.wordpress.com/about/, has a unique goal: to circumvent the globe by sailing 27,000 miles over 38 months along the Milk Route and to document this journey through photo and video. This journey will demonstrate how it is possible to conserve and utilize alternative energy sources, such as wind and solar power, to leave little to no carbon footprint. It will also bring to life the beauty and majesty of the ocean so that others can see how important it is to preserve it for future generations.
These three years will be spent working with local communities as they are reached, allowing Art & Anchor to put faces to unique crafts and artistry and tell a story in real time about the people who inhabit the globe. Now, Art & Anchor has launched a Kickstarter funding event, located at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/235346040/art-and-anchor, to raise money for this cause.
With the goal of building communities by creating unique art projects to express the importance of conservation of the environment, Art One is attempting to raise money through a non-profit venture that will supply these communities with needed funds for projects. The money raised by the Kickstarter project will be used to acquire a seaworthy vessel, the equipment and gear and the other items needed to get the project started.
The first year, Art & Anchor will visit the coast of Mexico and Costa Rica, French Polynesia and New Zealand. The second year, stops will include Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore. The third year will round out with India, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
