Mother & Daughter Duo Pen Empowering Children's Books, Sharing Bold Messages of Faith, Love and Self-Esteem

‘My Other Father, Abba Father’ by Guilaine Bell and ‘The Snake and the Tooth’ by Ayla, her eight-year-old daughter, reach out to young readers at a core point of their development and inspire them to live a confident life devoted to faith. From how to communicate with God on a daily basis to smashing through imperfections and living with a true knowledge of self-worth, both books prove that literature still has the power to change lives.

Ocoee, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/17/2015 -- While most eight year-olds come home from school, thrown down their bags and have no intention of picking up a pen until the next dreaded day in school, Florida's Ayla Bell moonlights as an author for fellow children. But it's not something her parents see as unconventional. In fact, Ayla's mother, Guilaine, is also an author – and the two have struck a unique partnership to publish empowering books for children.

Mother and daughter already have one book each on the market. Guilaine's 'My Other Father, Abba Father' is a compelling book helping children grow closer to God, while Ayla's slightly more quirky 'The Snake and the Tooth' oozes with the creativity of youth to teach people to look past their differences.
Synopses:

'My Other Father, Abba Father' - Knowing God can be a difficult concept for children to understand and embrace. Abba Father shows children how they can talk to God frequently throughout their day-to-day lives and teaches kids that God created everything and that he cares about each of them. Abba Father is a great resource for parents and teachers to explain prayer and trust in an easy-to-understand way.

'The Snake and the Tooth' - Spike is part of the Rattles a very special snake family. Spike has a problem, a tooth problem, and his family must help him figure out what to do. Can Spike fix his tooth? Or will he forever look different from everyone else? Find out what happens to Spike when he makes that brave decision to accept his differences.

"Both books carry vital and equally-important messages that children need to hear," explains Guilaine. "My book, for example, helps children start to explore the importance of prayer, trust and the experience of loving and being loved by God, life's only perfect role model."

Continuing, "Ayla's creation is far beyond her years and directly reaches out to children at a time when they become aware of their imperfections; something often hampering their self-esteem. Ayla's moral, told through Spike and his enchanting family, is that children should embrace what makes them unique and use this as a confidence they will show off to the world. People will love them no matter how they look and, by teaching them this at a young age, they will foster the self-esteem required to carry them through life. Ayla is painfully aware of the plight this predicament causes many of her peers, and we are delighted in how she has chosen to address it."

The duo have no plans to put down their pens.

"This is just the very start of things! Ayla is actively working on her next book, 'Spike Helps the Homeless Family', and I will support her fully in whatever direction she plans to take with this series. I'm also at the writing table, but won't say too much yet. Keep your eyes peeled because there is plenty more to come!" Guilaine adds.
