Now operating as The Great Backyard Place, this well-known business will continue to offer the same products that made it a top pool, spa, and furniture retailer, but with a wider offering of backyard living products.

Along with this change, The Great Backyard Place has opened a new central distribution warehouse in Knoxville that is ideally situated between the Chattanooga, Tenn. location and the new store in Asheville, N.C. "The distribution facility has allowed us to increase our buying power domestically as well as overseas," said May. "This and better inventory control has permitted us to offer the best possible products at the best prices as well as achieve better care and movement of those goods."
With all of these changes, The Great Backyard Place is an exploration into a new market after years of planning and adding new products to create an environment that goes beyond just swimming pools. Yet while Great Backyard offers everything from outdoor kitchens, grills, and furniture, it still offers the same trusted swimming products as before.

The Knoxville reveal is accompanied by a reveal in Maryville and follows celebrations at the Chattanooga and Cleveland locations, as well as the grand opening of a new store in Asheville, N.C.
