The Cute Bouncy Bunny: After Rekindling a Childhood Writing Passion, U.S. Author Releases Nature-Inspired, Enchanting Children's Book

‘The Cute Bouncy Bunny’, by Jessica Bryant, inspires children to get outside, explore nature and appreciate the beautiful, boundless world around them. But writing isn’t a new endeavor for Bryant – her childhood was defined by her passion for writing; a talent that saw her win awards and set the stage for a future as an author.

Dallas, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/05/2015 -- While most children come home from school, throw down their backpack and avoid picking up a pen for as long as possible, Jessica Bryant spent her childhood moonlighting as a poet. This unique creative talent not only drove demand for her verses and illustrations among family, but also saw her win an award for her endeavors.

Like most comings-of-age, life caught up with Bryant and writing hit the backburner. However, after a ten year break, the chance discovery of her old writing notes in combination with five nieces and nephews to inspire her, encouraged Bryant to finally publish her first children's book as an adult. It's called 'The Cute Bouncy Bunny'; it's lovable to say the least.

Synopsis:

The Cute Bouncy Bunny is a children's book that was inspired by enjoying nature and watching bunnies play in the grass. The story was originally a poem written for my younger brothers and sisters on April 9, 2003. I dedicate this book to my adorable nieces and nephews.

"The earliest incarnation of this book was way back in 2003, when I came home after walking with my younger sister, and she asked me to write something about the bunnies we had seen playing in the grass on our land. I penned a poem and illustration, but didn't really think anything of it," explains the author. "When unpacking boxes in my new home in Dallas last year I came across those documents as well as my notes. I suppose the rest is history!"

Continuing, "The story has a very bold theme – which is to inspire children to both explore and appreciate the wonderful nature that surrounds them. Because I wrote the original story as a young teen, I also hope it pushes children to embrace their creativity and even possibly explore future careers in writing and art. I really saw the impact of stories after reading to children in orphanages I visited while traveling. Now having a young niece who has a rare genetic disorder, empowering her to embrace learning and nature is more important than ever. "I am dedicated to encouraging children's curiosity about the world around them and nurturing their imagination by writing stories that give them the adventures they crave."

Since its release, the book has garnered a string of rave reviews. Jamie comments, "I would recommend this little book to anyone who has or would like to give a gift to younger children. It also makes a great collectable for anyone who likes children's poetry paired with adorable pictures of bunnies taken in peaceful outdoor settings."

About Jessica Bryant
Jessica Bryant is an author from Central Texas. She draws inspiration from her 3 year old niece Sadie who was born with Prader-Willi Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder. I recall the first time I read The Cute Bouncy Bunny to her; she had the biggest smile on her face and kept pointing at the picture of her favorite bunny. Sadie absolutely loves playing with her pet bunnies. A portion of the revenue earned from The Cute Bouncy Bunny is donated to the The Foundation for Prader-Willi Research.

In addition to writing, Jessica enjoys working with children at an after school program for elementary students. She also enjoys spending as much time as possible with her husband traveling and visiting new places.
