A new project entitled "Kids As Integral Money Managers," by Ariel Cotton is a series of three books that help children to become good managers of their finances at a young age and to avoid serious problems with money when they are older. Now, the project creator has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for publication.
Phoenix, AZ -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/11/2015 -- "Kids As Integral Money Managers" is the name of a series of books by Ariel Cotton that help children learn vital lessons about managing finances. Because of her own struggles with money, Cotton determined that she would find books that would help her children learn the valuable lessons of saving and budgeting at an early age. However, she could find little to no information on practical money management advice.
"I scoured my kid's school's library, our local library, Barnes and Nobel, Wal-Mart and Target," says Cotton. "I found a few books online and ordered them, HA, what a joke. They taught nothing of real life money skills. I started drafting these books a few weeks ago to help parents teach their kids ways to talk about money. This first series included three books to not only help with money management, but positive thinking, one to help with creativity and recognizing self-worth."
The Kickstarter campaign will help to raise funds for the production and distribution of this book series. Pledge levels range from $5 to $2,000 and include prizes such as copies of the books, money management toys and other perks.
