McHenry, IL -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/12/2015 -- The "I Ride with Billy" Motorcycle Run is a fundraising event organized to commemorate Billy Baehne's life and his favorite worthy cause. Billy Baehne was killed on his motorcycle last summer, at the young age of 24, when a truck towing a trailer, pulled out in front of him.
At an early age, he was undeniably a young entrepreneur, starting his own company at the age of 22. He was also a beloved son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson, and a loyal and devoted friend to many. Billy was passionate about riding his motorcycle. In fact, many considered him one of the most skilled riders around. He was also a passionate animal lover and proudly rescued two lovable Pitbulls and promoted rescuing and caring for this often misunderstood and mistreated breed.
The event was organized choosing the Orphans of the Storm as the legal beneficiary. All the money raised in this fundraising event will be donated to this pet shelter and rescue. The money raised will be used by Orphans of the Storm to sustain the needs of these abandoned animals while they await a forever home.
Motorcycle riders, passengers, animal lovers and anyone else wanting to be part of this worthy cause are invited to join the "I Ride with Billy" Motorcycle Run to be held on Saturday, April 25. Registration will start at 9 am to be followed by the bike blessing at 10 am. Kickstands will be up at 10:30 and after a scenic ride and one stop (TBA), riders will join all other participants for a post-run celebration.

The ride will start and end at The Snuggery in McHenry. Registrations are now made available online. Individuals do not have to ride to join in the event. Those who have a generous heart and have passion for remembering and sharing are welcome to register and join. Discounts will be given to those who register earlier.
