Vauxhall plan to make their latest version – Vauxhall OnStar more widely available than the current systems. It will be available first in the UK with the support team being based in Luton. At the push of a button, drivers will be able to summon assistance from that support centre in the case of a breakdown or accident.

Whilst consumers appreciate the practical aspects of the system, the main selling point in North America and China is the ability to provide Wi-Fi connectivity for up to sevendevices. As well as unveiling the new system, Vauxhall launched their new city car at the show. The new car is called the Viva, a name that Vauxhall used for one of their models between 1963 and 1979.
