Co-Founders Nicolas Seynaeve and Francois Mermoud Seek Funding via Indiegogo to Start the Mass Production of BAM City

BAM City is an advanced bike handlebar technology designed by Nicolas Seynaeve and Francois Mermoud to improve riding comfort while biking through different types of city obstacles. The two co-founders are looking to raise €10,000 via Indiegogo to start mass producing BAM City.

Laval, Mayenne -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/26/2015 -- Nicolas Seynaeve and Francois Mermoud started BARAMIND as a student project way back in 2007. They crossed several hurdles before converting it into an industrial project, and their company Red-Motion was started in 2010. BARAMIND is a flexible handlebar technology that has been designed to minimize the impact of small shocks and vibrations while biking. In 2012, the duo released their first product named BAM XC, followed by the current version that has been used extensively for Marathon MTB races.

Nicolas and Francois are now ready to introduce their new product BAM City, an advanced system that can dramatically enhance user comfort while driving over obstacles such as cobblestones, potholes, and pavement. BAM City can also be extremely useful for off-road cycling.

BAM City is made from materials that are mostly used in the aeronautics industry. The product's specific design & geometry makes the handlebar flexible. There is an exclusive insert system that locks the handlebar when it is pulled upwards. The product has been developed with the utmost care in collaboration with an industrial partner, a specialized material manufacturer, and an engineering laboratory.

Some of the most important highlights of BAM City are

- Reduces strain on wrists and upper limbs
- Prevents musculoskeletal injuries
- No loss of energy
- Replaces a city bike's suspension fork
- Compatible with all bikes
- Exclusive patented technology
- Two years warranty
- Tested in accordance with European Standard NF EN 14764

Efficiency of BAM City has already been validated by riding and laboratory tests. The product's design and ergonomics have been validated, too. At present, optimization of the manufacturing process is in progress. Nicolas and Francois are ready start mass production of BAM City. However, they need funding support to get started.

An Indiegogo campaign has been launched by Nicolas and Francois to raise €10,000 for this project. This campaign will close on April 26, 2015.
