Leeds, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/28/2015 -- UK envelope company, Discount Envelopes, have recently commented on the story of a four year old boy who has managed to cope with the death of his father, thanks to the collection of letters he's received.
Wyatt Revels from Autryville has been receiving envelopes from across the country, from locations such as Texas, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and California. The messages have been ongoing since January, after a word got out that Wyatt was struggling to cope, creating waves online.
Wyatt's mother, Alysha Starling, said, 'There's a lot of good people out there. There's people that care that didn't even know him.'
A brain aneurysm took Wyatt's father, David Lee, on January 29, at 28 years of age. The death was sudden an unexpected, causing confusion upon the four year old Wyatt.
More than 100,000 letters and packages have been sent since February, overwhelming Wyatt's mother at people's love and generosity. Every card is read to Wyatt, and she aims to keep them for Wyatt to go back to over the years.
Packages included items such as books, toys and stickers, with one gift being a pillow for Wyatt with himself and his father printed onto the material. This has become a favourite of his and he spends every night sleeping with the cushion.
Before the letters, Wyatt would burst into tears and fall to the floor, with many question asked on what had happened. This shows just how much power envelopes can have to an individual, and many more letters continue to be sent.
