In March 2015, new car registrations reached record levels. Many fund managers and traders believe that demand for cars is going to continue to be high throughout 2015, which makes investing in UK based car dealers an attractive proposition.

Over the past few months, the value of the shares of some of the largest UK car retailers has risen by 20%. Given the fact that 2015 is expected to be another strong year for both new car registrations and used car sales, many expect to see further rises in stock values.

The belief is that a recovering economy and wage growth will mean that more people in the UK will replace their existing vehicle. In addition, the fact that close on 2 million people now have the option to release some or all of their pension pot and take the cash will also drive up demand. A significant percentage of those who decide to take some cash out of their pension are expected to use some of it to buy a replacement vehicle.
