Ayoub Qanir Will Be In Attendance To Share And Promote His Short Film, Artificio Conceal At The Short Film Corner During Cannes 2015.
Qanir is a writer, director and producer. After graduating from the American School of Madrid, he attended the University of Miami and graduated with a B.S. in Business Management and Entrepreneurship. He also holds an Art Direction and Graphic Design degree from The Art Institute and went on to join the Film Direction and Production Program at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles. Qanir attends Harvard University and is currently pursuing a graduate program in Nanotechnology.
In recent years, Qanir has become an advocate for scientific innovation. With over 9 years in the film industry, Qanir has become known for building fictional concepts by grounding his plots and narratives in non-fictional scientific events and developments. Artificio Conceal, his latest film, reflects this keen interest in the merging of advance science and technology and the effects it has on people.
The film stars David Bailie, Simon Armstrong, and Nick Cornwall. The story of a man who awakens in an Interpol interrogation room to find his mind 'hacked', his memories replaced, and his identity lost. Qanir's film has been an official selection at 25 film festivals. He is in talks with production houses and international agents, including those who will also be attending Cannes, about making Artificio Conceal into a full-length feature.
