Knoxville, TN -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/19/2015 -- Perry Prichard's enthusiasm for motorcycle riding extends well beyond the roadways. A former motorcycle racer from Knoxville, Tenn., he is equally passionate about riding gear so he created Asphalt Addiction, a clothing company dedicated to motorcycle riders of all levels.
"When my life as a professional racer started to come to a close, I shifted gears," explains Prichard. "I wanted to create a line of riding gear and casual wear that would offer unsurpassed protection, comfort, styling and performance – at a price that weekend warriors, street riders, track day junkies and professional racers could afford."
He assembled an experienced team of riders and racers to help with the design process. "These people had design experience combined with the understanding of what people want in riding gear and casual wear," says Prichard. "Then we developed prototypes and tested them extensively with test riders. So far we're getting rave reviews on all our pre-production samples."
The initial launch of Asphalt Addiction will feature both casual wear and leather riding gear. The riding gear will include men's and women's leather riding/racing suits, jackets, pants, boots, gloves and protective gear as well as textile and textile/leather combinations.
All are designed to provide a unique level of both safety and comfort, and are available in a variety of materials to offer something for every style of riding.
The Asphalt Addiction line of casual wear includes men's and women's T-shirts, hats and beanies.
"We separate ourselves by using premium materials, high-end innovative production and manufacturing processes while providing our products at a budget-conscious price without sacrificing quality, durability, style and comfort," says Prichard.
The start-up budget for the company is $50,000. This would cover materials, manufacturing and shipping as well as an extensive marketing campaign.

Donations of any amount are welcome. For an $18 contribution, backers will receive an Asphalt Addiction T-shirt. A $22 contribution is good for an Asphalt Addiction fitted hat. Riding boots are available for a $100 pledge and for $125, you can get leather riding pants.
