Phoenix, AZ -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/14/2015 -- On Tuesday, July 14, 3-4 pm Pacific, host Beth Green will be interviewing two gay couples about the recent Supreme Court decision legalizing gay marriage throughout the nation. The topic won't focus on the fight for the right to marry. It will focus on the impact of legalization on gay people themselves.

Heidi and Debra are a California couple who have been together for over 30 years and who have been married since 2008, when same-sex marriage became legal in the state. They have two children. The story of their commitment vows in 1993 was the subject of an academy-award nominated documentary which poignantly revealed the struggles the women faced to find acceptance and self-acceptance of their love and relationship at that time. Beth will be talking to them about their lives, their marriage, their family relationships and their feelings about this long-anticipated victory.

Larry and Corey, on the other hand, live in a Southern state where gay marriage has been illegal. The legalization of the marriage possibility has thrown them into a new path of discovery about their relationship, their commitment to one another and their future.

"When the celebrating and fighting are over," comments host Beth Green, "where does same-sex marriage leave real people? These guys have to confront all the normal fears and issues of caring and cold feet that we all face when considering tying the knot. At the same time they are still dealing with both historic and lingering homophobia. This should be a fascinating conversation."
