Terminal Opening at Arlington Municipal Airport

New terminal opens at Arlington Municipal Airport, just in time for the 2011 Super Bowl.

 

Dallas, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/20/2011 -- Arlington Municipal Airport celebrated the grand opening of their newest terminal on January 10th, which is expected to support high traffic during the 2011 Super Bowl in Arlington. Construction for this project started on April 1, 2010, replacing the original, one-story terminal built in 1982. The new, two-story terminal is roughly 15,500 square feet in size and cost the city roughly $5.2 million dollars.

The City of Arlington anticipates that the new terminal will bring more opportunities and growth to the city. Already airport business has increased since the opening of the new Cowboys Stadium in June of 2009 which houses 100,000 fans.
