Philadelphia, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/26/2014 -- The American Cancer Society (ACS) is a foundation that raises money to help fund research for curing cancer. The funds have helped millions of cancer survivors to live longer and reduce cancer death rates. Every year, Safian & Rudolph Jewelers participates in the ACS Bike-A-Thon to help fundraising efforts. The 42nd Bike-A-Thon took place July 13th and raised over one million dollars thanks to volunteers, sponsors, and donations. The jewelry company participated in the event in honor of Raymond Rudolph, under the team name “Ray’s Riders”. The team surpassed their fundraising goal of $3,000 and generated almost $29,000 for the foundation. Contributors biked from one of the starting points located in Cherry Hill NJ, Shamong NJ, Hammonton NJ or the Ben Franklin Bridge all the way to the designated end point at Buena Vista Camping Park.

Safian & Rudolph Jewelers is still selling their ACS Bike-A-Thon limited edition pin which was designed and created by Marvin Bowe. The pin cost only $10.80 with tax and free shipping. The proceeds are donated to the ACS. The company takes pleasure in supporting the ACS, which continues to prevent and eliminate cancer through education, advocacy, research, and medical services.
