The Chef’s Academy Sponsors Fundraiser to Benefit 2012 Super Bowl Host Committee’s Legacy Project

Division of Harrison College Participates In Event To Support The Indianapolis Chase Near Eastside Community Center

 

Indianapolis, IN -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/11/2012 -- The Chef’s Academy (http://www.thechefsacademy.com), the Culinary Division of Harrison College, a 109-year-old, nationally accredited institution that offers 40 degree programs in five schools of study, will be one of the presenting sponsors at the 2012 Super Bowl Host Committee’s Legacy Project fundraising event to be held on Friday, Jan. 20 at the construction site for the Chase Near Eastside Community Center. With approximately 400 guests expected to attend, The Chef’s Academy will provide the entrée for the event which will be prepared and served by the school’s culinary students. Expected guests include dignitaries, government officials, members of the Super Bowl Host Committee Board of Directors, community leaders, corporate executives and neighborhood organizers, among others.

The 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee’s Legacy Project is aimed at rebuilding and remodeling more than 200 homes, 32 of which are located in Indianapolis. As part of this project, a new community center is being built which will benefit the facility and its ongoing operations.

-The Chase Near Eastside Community Center will become a major center for comprehensive fitness, wellness and recreation programs for neighborhood residents and Indianapolis Public School students. The center will also be the hub for youth development activities. The John H. Boner Community Center, housed on the campus of Arsenal Technical High School, will own the new community center.
