METTLER TOLEDO's New iControl Enables Maximum Synthesis Data Viewing for Faster Results

Greifensee, Zurich -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/25/2012 -- METTLER TOLEDO is pleased to announce the availability of iControlTM, its next-generation graphic interface option for EasyMax and OptiMax synthesis workstations. With an elegant graphic simplicity and ability to control up to three synthesis workstations at once, iControl gives operators maximum control over their experiments.

Through quick and intuitive data access, users can immediately identify key reaction events and parameters—and even comparethem against data fromother experiments—to analyze the impact of variables such as dosing or temperature. Manufacturers make better reaction decisions and obtain faster and ultimately less costly experiment results.

The key to iControl’s ease-of-use isits powerful yet simple reaction editor. An integrated database provides fast access to chemical properties and greater ease when calculating reagent amounts or documenting chemistry and stoichiometry. Set points can be changed on the reactor using drag-and-drop tasks or simple keystrokes. The iControleditor also allows preprogramming of some or all of a recipe’s tasks for unattended operation. Adding nights and weekends to a production calendar means more experiments completedin less time.

For increased flexibility, iControl can be used on its own or in conjunction with an EasyMax or OptiMaxbuilt-in touchscreen. If used alongsidea built-in workstation interface, a fully integrated link ensures real-time update of all relevant data on both. iControl records all experiment actions made from either for full traceability and easy reuse of successful recipes.

Taking recipe management a step further, users can specify reaction trends for further analysis. Experiments can be imported or exported via USB stick or network connection. Trends andother experiment-specific text and images can also be cut and pasted from iControl and other iC products to Microsoft Word and Excel for easy comparison and reporting. This helps project personnel perform in-depth data analysis to make solid, supported recommendations about the direction of future experiments.

When added to the robust METTER TOLEDO technology contained in EasyMax or OptiMax, iControlbecomes an integral part of experiment management.
