Bayer CropScience Wins Passage Home Corporate Responsibility Award

Crop Science Company Honored For Its Support At Annual “3C’s Breakfast” Event

For several years Bayer CropScience has been a sponsor for Passage Home, a nationally recognized nonprofit community development corporation devoted to addressing homelessness and poverty that has been serving Wake County since 1991. The 3C’s Breakfast honors Corporations, Community members and Congregations, and leaders of these organizations, for their efforts in helping Passage Home and its mission over the last year.

- In 2010, Bayer employees hosted Bayer Days at the Passage Home Summer Camp every Wednesday to expose the Passage Home youth to science, sustainable living and technology through experiential learning. Campers from ages 5 through 12 experienced Bayer’s Making Science Make Sense program, art projects and etiquette training, along with several sponsored field trips.

- Bayer CropScience has donated $250,000 from the Bayer Foundation in support of Passage Home’s Raleigh Community & Safety Club community center in addition to its employees’ volunteer time.
