Seegrid Representative Sees European AGV Market Growing

Pittsburgh, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/10/2014 -- Seegrid, maker of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) is exhibiting at CeMat 2014 to meet global demand of robotic industrial trucks. Seegrid will be exhibiting at Hall 27, Booth H12. CeMAT 2014 runs from May 19 to May 23, 2014, in Hannover, Germany.

Peter Bak will be introducing new Seegrid products at CeMAT 2014. Bak has more than 20 years of experience in customer oriented roles in technology intensive companies, discussed the changes in the automated guided vehicle (AGV) market over the past year in Europe.

Bak explained that the interest for Material Handling automation including AGV solutions across manufacturing industry and warehousing is growing, “In the European AGV market there is a trend towards deploying logistics trains to support the flow of goods to and from a production line or in warehouses. Logistics trains allow regular and continuous supply of materials and they run 24/7 with improved facility safety and reduced product damage.”

“There is a trend in European Manufacturing towards ‘forklift free’ manufacturing sites. The advantages are attracting European manufacturing companies for the same reasons in North America. Seegrid AGVs improve warehouse safety. Safety is regarded to be an issue with forklift travel. Using route trains will lower the amount of traffic in a site resulting in increased safety. Seegrid trucks decrease timed delivery of goods to the production line via route trains. The trucks add efficiency and reliability,” noted Bak.

CeMAT intralogistics trade fair will feature a significant increase in the number of exhibitors from abroad.

The fair is expected to attract more than 1,000 exhibitors from 40 nations and occupy more than 1,291,600 square feet of exhibition space. The fair is expected to attract more than 1,000 exhibitors from 40 nations and occupy more than 1,291,600 square feet of exhibition space.

About Seegrid
